Eva Mann
Biography
Eva Mann is a director, actress, and author. She completed a directing degree at East 15 Acting School in London and at the GITIS Theatre Academy in Moscow. She has also trained in Intimacy Direction with IDC Professionals.
Eva Mann directs productions with non-professional performers as well as in the independent theatre scene, including Gift & Gnade, which has been touring as theatrical pastoral care for three seasons, and the German-language premiere of Airswimming (Charlotte Jones).
Her international collaborations include work with Kenyan director Washington Obwanda (Forum Theatre Nairobi). She has received scholarships from the Lincoln Center Directors Lab New York (2014) and the Albert Köchlin Foundation (Atelier X 2025), as well as the Central Switzerland Theatre Text Prize (2021) for Vogelfrey (text & direction).
Her experience encompasses professional direction, intercultural theatre projects, and connecting different theatre traditions. She is a member of t. Theaterschaffende Schweiz and A*dS – Autorinnen und Autoren der Schweiz.
