Fabienne Imoberdorf
Biography
Born and raised in Valais, Fabienne Imoberdorf, motivated by first prizes at national and international violin competitions, decided early on to pursue music studies. Even in her youth, she admired the world of opera and theatre behind the scenes, working as a lighting double and extra. After years as an intern and section player in Swiss professional orchestras, she trained in nursing, only to soon return to music.
Since then, the versatile violinist has complemented her teaching position at the Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis as an assistant director, arranger, board member of various cultural series, and as a theatre/chamber/orchestral musician. Further training keeps Fabienne constantly moving forward. Her profession is always also her hobby, and her family is her firm anchor.
